back on the canals

hello all , hope you are all enjoying this lovely summer we are having , since our last post on here we have been down the River Thames and it was very enjoyable met some lovely people on our travels , below are some photos of the trip down

Tuesday the 16th we heading for teddington lock  for a eta at 8am ,but we got there early and the lock keeper wave us into lock and told us to carry on steady and we get to Brentford lock for 8am the tide had not come in yet and it was really nice going down slowly ,then we got to Richmond and met the tide and the boat stopped so more revs were need , got to Brentford and the lock keeper let us through and we moored up ,next day we headed up the Grand union canal to Packet boat marina where we going to be based for the next few weeks  very nice place , now getting ready for the waterway recovery camps,

hi sorry we not updated our blog but we have been out enjoying the sunshine at last also i have been working
so what we been up to since our last update , well we left Thrup and heading down to the River Thames

 while we were moored at Abingdon enjoy a lovely weekend we saw all these gliders

we came off the Thames and headed up the Kennet and Avon
 we came across these cowboys who were cutting a fallen tree , what is CR&T coming to giving these people contracts

we met john and Jackie last summer and has been boating with the on and off since

we got as far as woolhampton and then turned round ,
i was offer  some work with my old work place so we have now moored up at Frouds Bridge marina.
In july we going to move on    at end of july and august we going to doing WRG camps
one week on the Basingstoke canal at deepcut locks , then one week on the Cromford canal,  then two weeks working on the Chesterfield canal at staveley
