ON THE MOVE AT LAST

after a couple of months in and around Ellesmere while I got my arm and fingers sorted  and thank you everyone who ask    I am feeling lot  better now , I had to back to the hospital for a check up on the 22th   then on the Thursday we sorted out the boat ready for the off on Friday morning we went down the arm first think to pick up 3 more bags of coal  hopefully the last of the year well looking at weather forecast it look OK now might even get the shorts out , we left the arm around 10ish and headed off just taking a nice steady trip
while at Ellesmere we had a look at the new sculptures 

think they will look better after a few years
the weather is really lovely at the moment and spring is very nearly here saw first daffodils today

and some catkins

we stopped Baddiley on Monday night and had a walk over to the church which is st Michael's it is very old well parts are dating back to 1308

we are heading for Nantwich now should be there Wednesday then onto Norbury junction to collect our new boat batteries then off down the Shropshire union canal to Wolverhampton then not sure

we will keep you posted

ONE YEAR ON BOARD GO FOR IT

we have been on board our narrow boat for a year now and we have had a really good year, been to lots of new places and met lots of new boating friends 

we have done 1300 miles  800 locks  few tunnels and a few aqueducts one being Pontcysyllte which we enjoy being there

 , used 1500 liters of fuel  and our engine has now done 1200hours 

really looking forward to going to lots of new places and different canals this year and meeting lots of new friends

we are still moored at Ellesmere on the llangollen canal  the weather has been cold but the canal has not frozen over here so we have been able to more to get water .

just to let you know my fingers and arm are on the mend now so i think in couple of weeks we will be on the move again  really looking forward to get moving and seeing different place every day ,

we have seen quite a few boats go pass us while we been moored here quite a few other blogers

while we been moored here i have been busy  making a cover for back of the boat to stop the rain and frost getting on the back boards

also we have brought our self a saw horse

there has been a few lovely sunrise

 also seen a lovely buzzard around here
