Tuesday 3rd may (just a warning this is a long blog )
we left our mooring at Cookham around 8.30am we had to fill up with water and do the toilet at Cookham lock , and at least the wind had dropped today which made it a lot easier ,once through the lock we went along Cliveden which was lovely then into maidenhead cut up to Boulter's lock once through the lock the lovely big houses start with some big boat houses to go with them .
once we went through Bray lock we went under the M4 then we start to get into Dorney and Windsor
we pass this lovely hotel called Oakley court
when we were at Bray lock we asked the lock keeper if he know of ant good mooring and he told us about one at Dorney behind the Dorney lakes which is the venue for the Rowing and Kayak events in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012. if you ever get a chance to come here i would it is very lovely place http://www.dorneylake.co.uk/index.html
once we moored up we went for a walk we started by going along the lakes and saw some wild life
then we saw this

then we walked a little further and found this small church St James the Less a 12thC and it was open so we went inside and it was really nice and different some nice stained glass ,some Medieval wall painting and a large tomb of Sir William Garrard below are some photo's of it

as we walked onto to Eton wick there was a lot of old houses and some different forms of building
also we met a man with this new car a very nice Ferrari not sure what model but it looked very nice
this is a very nice place and if you ever get the chance to visit we recomend it
