Question why is there so many coconuts in the water ????

coconuts everywhere

  1. I believe the coconuts are to do with Hindu funerals. They're gifts to the boatmen who carry souls to the afterlife.

  2. Adam is correct. In India one of the most common offerings in a temple is a coconut. They used to put gifts inside the coconuts which would travel to the afterlife. These days they do not put anything in them. It is really very interesting though.

  3. Hi Colin and Tina.
We were your companions on the run down to Kilby Bridge on 'Bide Your Time'. Thanks for the help and the company; and thanks for returning the bottle! We hope you enloyed the home made cider.

    See you on the cut

    Pete and Tina
